Sharon’s Story

I am a full-time mum and I started off cleaning for a few people myself in the local village which I really enjoyed and it fitted around my children perfectly.  I was talking to one of my friends about work and she told me that she had just bought a franchise for a cleaning agency but in another area. It sounded really easy so I decided to do some research.

I typed into Google “how to start a cleaning business” to find out more information about starting up my own cleaning business when I came across Mike’s business opportunity.

Now I’m a very sceptical person and am very cautious about buying things on the internet so when I found this site it sounded too good to be true. I couldn’t believe the price bearing in mind my friend had just paid out £10,000 for her franchise and still had fees to pay out every month on top of this.

After reading all the information I decided to purchase the manual still very cautious I paid for it through PayPal so if it was a con I would be able to claim my money back.

I received my manual very quickly and spent the next few weeks reading it. The manual was very easy to follow and gave step by step instructions on what I needed to do. If I had any queries I emailed Mike who was more than happy to help and was very quick to respond.

Then it was time to make the plunge so I contacted Mike to set up the website and all the forms I needed with my business name (this felt very exciting).

Mike set up the website for me with my input which was easy (for me anyway).  I got to proof read all the forms to make sure I was happy with them all before they went to print.

Then the big day arrived!  All my forms were delivered, website up and running and all my internal forms downloaded and printed.

I started advertising for cleaners in local village shops which was very cheap 50p – £1 and also putting up my leaflets for clients. I signed up to various sites that you can advertise your business and also advertised on the Job centre for cleaners both being free.

1 Year Later ………. Wow how things have changed!

I have been running my own business for a year now and have a nice regular income.  Bearing in mind I have been running my business on a part-time basis I now have 15 cleaners on my database which might not sound a lot but they are fantastic and very hard working.  I also have 20 Clients totalling 58 hours totalling £171.10 a week. Not a bad income for part time work. This is more than I ever hoped for.

The easiest part of my job is getting clients. The website is amazing, it sells the business to them before they have to make contact with me. All I have to do is sign them up.

I find the hardest part of my job is sorting through all the cleaners to find out who is suitable to put on my database as you get a lot of very different people applying. I am very fussy but I can be after all I am introducing the cleaners to my clients who I get my income from.

I started up on a budget of £1,000 which compared to a franchise price of £10,000 is nothing. The forms, website and all the support I’ve received have been excellent.

I am so pleased I decided to start my own business which I run from home and also fits around my children and family life. I just wish I had found this manual years ago.

If you’re thinking about starting up your own cleaning business I’d say don’t waste your money on an expensive franchise – just get it touch with Mike who I’m sure will be more than happy to help you in any way he can.
